Treatment for children

Children from 18 months to 18 years of age are targeted on musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders particularly related to cerebral palsy, scoliosis, juvenile chronic arthritis and  osteochondrosis.

At Spa Teplice, in Czech Republic, we specialize in diseases of the musculoskeletal system and nerve diseases in children. Most of our patients suffer from cerebral stroke, paralysis or delayed development due to premature birth, genetic disease or injury. We also treat rheumatism patients, i.e. inflammatory diseases of muscles, joints and spine as well as children recovering after surgeries of hip, deformed limbs, spine and tendons. By combining our unique mineral thermal water, found solely in the town of Teplice and advanced methods used in rehabilitation, occupational therapy and physical medicine, we ensure the best care for our smallest patients.

Methods

The treatment itself .. The structure of therapeutic procedures in each particular case will be decided by the physician at the entry medical examination. Spa treatment includes 24 procedures per week and will be chosen by the doctor from the following list of procedures:

Individual Exercises and Positioning – Vojta´s method of reflex locomotion, Bobath´s concept, synergic reflex therapy, myofacial ball technique, craniosacral therapy, Tymo and Tyramotion robotic upper limb therapy – For an extra fee we can also suggest Lokomat, the world´s leading robotic rehabilitation device that provides highly repetetive and the most physiological movement training.

A child patient has to be accompanied by an adult for the whole period of its treatment.

What do you need to apply ..

Before confirming a reservation we ask our clients to send us their medical report, in english, to asses the suitability of the treatment. Medical reports, being orthopedic or neurological, should not be more than 3 months old in order for us to evaluate your current health condition. After which our physician will recommed a suitable lenght of stay, which in most cases is 4-6 weeks. .
